Estate planning grant through local elder law attorneys

It is critical that a family sits down with a specialized attorney upon an ALS diagnosis. At home ALS care can be very costly to manage and caregivers will be needed. ALS of Utica has partnered with three Elder Law Attorneys and once approved, pays them directly for Estate Planning Services on behalf of our local REGISTERED ALS families. Standard insurance and Medicare will not cover home care needs when the time comes, these attorneys will look at other programs including Medicaid to get these needs covered. Never assume you will not qualify, utilizing trusts is a way to make these services available while protecting assets for the rest of the family. It is critical to start the process early, it can take 4-6 months to qualify. Other services included: Wills, Health Care Proxy, Power of Attorney.
